Responsibilities

The officer will coordinate and prepare donor reports, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and timely submission, while also tracking reporting deadlines and compliance. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, reviewing calls for proposals, and assisting in donor base expansion. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with donor counterparts and project partners is essential. The officer will participate in donor meetings and relevant working groups, contributing to strategic discussions. Additionally, support will be provided for integrating Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) frameworks, offering technical inputs for emerging trends, and supervising support staff. Capacity building for country office staff and knowledge management through maintaining accurate records are also key duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing and editing, preferably within the international development or humanitarian sector. Experience in donor relations and grant management for specific IOM-interested donors is also necessary. Familiarity with the Results-Based Management (RBM) approach and other strategic planning methodologies is expected.
Skills
Proficiency in communication, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to produce clear reports. Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts. Proven experience in donor report writing in humanitarian/development settings. Strong analytical and planning capabilities. Ability to establish working relationships with various stakeholders. Capacity to supervise and train staff. Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Good computer literacy, including database applications.
