Job Purpose
The Project Development and Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting the facilitation of project development and donor/institutional reporting across key areas including migration management, emergency response, and community resilience. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including Sub Offices, Regional Office units, UN agencies, and other partners. The officer will assist in liaising with these entities to ensure alignment with IOM's regional and country strategies. A key aspect of the role is to contribute to the development of results-based programs and projects, ensuring compliance with IOM and donor requirements, and supporting the overall mission of promoting humane and orderly migration.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of results-based programs and projects by drafting concept notes and proposals, providing technical input, and ensuring alignment with IOM strategies and donor requirements. Support the endorsement process for project proposals. Assist in drafting donor reports in line with IOM policies and standards. Research funding opportunities, review calls for proposals, and develop donor profiles. Foster effective working relationships with donor counterparts and project partners. Draft visibility materials and organize donor briefings. Conduct capacity building and training on program development and reporting. Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure PRIMA management. Perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Experience in supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing, and editing, preferably in the international development or humanitarian sector. Experience in donor relations and grant management is also required.
Skills
Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills. Ability to prepare clear reports. Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation. Experience in donor report writing and Results-Based Management. Strong analytical and planning skills. Ability to establish working relationships with various stakeholders. Capacity to supervise and train staff. Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality. High computer literacy, including database applications.
