Technical Analyst Agri-PDB (Agricultural Public Development Banks) Platform - Co-Terminus

Organizational Context

IFAD is an international financial institution and UN specialized agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger by investing in rural people. The Office of Technical Delivery provides expert technical guidance for IFAD projects and programmes. The Sustainable Production, Markets and Institutions Division (PMI) focuses on quality of design and implementation of policies, country strategies, and projects.

Job Purpose

To provide analytical and operational support to the Agri-PDB Platform's activities on agroecology, green finance, and PDB institutional engagement, contributing to the design and delivery of technical strategies and knowledge services.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical analysis on agroecology, green finance, and PDB institutional engagement; support the design of tools and methodologies for agroecological transition and impact measurement; participate in field missions to assess PDB capacity-building needs; draft knowledge products (case studies, policy briefs); support peer learning sessions and webinars; maintain collaboration with development finance institutions and regional networks; support the Agroecology Working Group; contribute to work plans and reporting; enhance awareness of the Platform's work through communications.

Work Experience

At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience. Experience in the UN system or an international financial institution is preferred. Familiarity with public development banks (PDBs), agroecology, rural finance, and green investment frameworks is an asset. Experience in resource mobilization, program management, donor reporting, and funding proposal preparation is highly desirable. Fieldwork experience and knowledge of international policy frameworks related to global environment, natural resource management, and rural development are assets.
