Organizational Context
The Business and Quality Management Unit, within WIPO's Information and Communication Technology Department, provides administrative and transformation services. It focuses on strategic execution, performance monitoring, resource management, and integrated change, risk, communication, quality, and sustainable IT management. The Unit collaborates with central teams to ensure optimal departmental operations and IT service delivery.
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for leading change management, stakeholder communication, and training activities for IT transformation initiatives, providing guidance on change management as a discipline. In collaboration with project and product stakeholders, the role involves defining change approaches and roadmaps, engaging stakeholders, developing communication and training plans, and monitoring implementation. The objective is to minimize disruptions and risks, ensure full adoption of changes, achieve successful outcomes, and realize intended benefits.
Responsibilities
Support IT projects by developing and executing change management frameworks and plans, including impact/risk assessments, stakeholder analyses, and user readiness evaluations. Develop mitigation strategies, communication plans, and training programs, utilizing AI-enabled tools and adoption roadmaps. Drive stakeholder engagement by collaborating with sponsors and business partners to facilitate IT change adoption, and provide strategic guidance to other change managers. Monitor and evaluate initiative effectiveness using KPIs and data-driven insights. Develop and implement IT learning and development strategies in coordination with HR and WIPO Academy to upskill staff, conducting skill gap analyses and identifying relevant training. Act as a subject matter expert, promoting change management methodology and best practices across the organization.
Work Experience
Minimum six years of relevant professional experience as a Change Manager, including experience with industry-standard methodologies. Proven hands-on experience in project management, budget, planning, and stakeholder management. Demonstrated track record of leading impactful change initiatives in multicultural environments.
Skills
Strong knowledge of change management communication and learning approaches. Ability to foresee and evaluate action impacts. Excellent analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills. Superior communication, cross-team, and interpersonal skills for effective partnerships in diverse settings. Proficiency in digital tools, AI applications, and online collaboration platforms. Commitment to continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies.
