Organizational Context
WIPO for Creators (WFC) is a consortium led by WIPO, operating under the Copyright Management Division within the Copyright and Creative Industries Sector. Its mission is to enhance creators' understanding of intellectual property rights and empower them with knowledge and tools for fair acknowledgment and compensation. WFC utilizes initiatives like the CLIP platform to achieve these goals.
Job Purpose
The incumbent will provide strategic and operational leadership for WIPO for Creators (WFC), guiding the program's vision and implementation, with a focus on the growth and impact of the CLIP platform across various creative sectors. Key responsibilities include coordinating governance processes, leading a multi-disciplinary team, mobilizing external resources through fundraising and partnerships, overseeing platform development and releases, and ensuring measurable outcomes that deliver tangible benefits to creators globally. This role is crucial for advancing WFC's mission and expanding the reach and effectiveness of its initiatives.
Responsibilities
The role involves providing strategic guidance and operational leadership for the CLIP program, defining priorities, allocating resources, and managing risks. The incumbent will plan, coordinate, and supervise the WFC team across technical, content, outreach, and digital product areas, ensuring UX/UI alignment and driving the roadmap execution for CLIP's development and maintenance. This includes defining requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring compliance with standards. Continuous improvements and new feature releases for the CLIP platform will be coordinated in collaboration with partners and relevant WIPO units. Additionally, the role requires organizing internal consultations, managing contractor deliverables, administering supplier and partner relationships, and overseeing program resources. Developing and implementing outreach, fundraising, and marketing activities to enhance program visibility and impact is also a key duty, alongside managing stakeholder relations and representing WFC at external events.
Work Experience
At least seven years of relevant experience in product, program, or project management. This includes at least two years of experience with intellectual property topics within the creative industries. Proven experience managing multiple complex workstreams, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and in fundraising and donor relations management is essential. Experience managing digital products in an agile fashion and leading multicultural teams is desirable.

Excellent ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and manage consensus among diverse stakeholders. Skills in translating business needs into IT requirements and collaborating with technical specialists. Strong critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability. Ability to grasp and communicate complex ideas quickly and deliver accurate outputs under tight deadlines. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team. Familiarity with project management software and understanding of the creative industries are desirable.
