This position is within the Business and Quality Management Unit of the ICT Department. Job Purpose
The incumbent will monitor and provide guidance and operational support for the ICT Department's projects and activities, focusing on performance, resources, contracts, and vendor management. This role is crucial for ensuring the department's effective functioning and compliance with WIPO's administrative procedures, instructions, and guidelines. The position involves extensive liaison with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve departmental goals and maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key duties include coordinating the design and implementation of dashboards to track ICT Department KPIs and metrics, working with managers to gather reporting requirements, and overseeing their implementation. The role involves providing operational oversight for project performance, resource use, and contract/vendor management, ensuring compliance with WIPO's administrative framework. Responsibilities also encompass driving data collection, analysis, and reporting on KPIs, identifying and documenting new KPIs, and providing data-driven recommendations. Additionally, the incumbent will oversee vendor activities, manage contracts, lead tendering exercises, and collaborate on monitoring and optimizing cloud consumption and costs.
Work Experience
Requires at least six years of professional experience in finance, procurement, HR, public or business administration. Essential experience includes data analysis, and designing/implementing KPIs, dashboards, and reports. Desirable experience involves ERP systems (like Oracle) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), as well as cloud financial management solutions.
Skills
Essential skills include critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and effective communication (oral and written). Strong interpersonal skills for multicultural environments are required. Proficiency in digital tools, AI applications, and online collaboration platforms is necessary, along with a commitment to continuous learning.
