Coordination Officer

Job Purpose
The Coordination Officer will provide dedicated support to the Minister's Office and Secretariat, focusing on health policies and programs aimed at strengthening the health system's resilience. The role is instrumental in aligning national health priorities with international commitments and ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of health initiatives, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of public health in Bhutan.
Responsibilities
The Coordination Officer will conduct comprehensive analyses of existing health policies, programs, and initiatives to identify areas for improvement. They will provide evidence-based recommendations to executives on policy formulation and implementation strategies. A key responsibility is collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and international organizations, to align external assistance with national health priorities. The role involves monitoring and evaluating policy and program implementation, assessing their impact, and preparing high-level reports, briefs, and presentations for the Minister and relevant divisions. Additionally, the officer will provide technical assistance in planning, particularly during the formulation of the Five-Year Plan, ensuring alignment with national and international objectives.
Work Experience
A minimum of ten years of experience is required, including demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder efforts in health preparedness, implementing public health workplans, aligning external assistance with national priorities, and preparing high-level reports and communications. Expertise in policy research, data analysis, and understanding of the Bhutanese health system is also essential.
