Senior Warehouse Associate

Job Purpose
The Senior Warehouse Associate is responsible for coordinating and monitoring end-to-end supply operations, ensuring the timely and efficient execution of all supply chain stages. This includes managing incoming shipments, tracking pipelines, facilitating customs clearance, and overseeing final delivery. The role is critical in identifying and resolving supply chain disruptions, especially within complex emergency environments, to guarantee the continuity of operations and the effective distribution of essential medical and non-medical commodities. The position also involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor end-to-end supply operations, including shipments, pipeline tracking, customs clearance, and delivery. Identify and address supply chain bottlenecks and disruptions, proposing corrective actions. Lead the clearance and reception of international shipments, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up. Verify the quality, quantity, and compliance of received goods, maintaining proper documentation and traceability. Oversee warehouse and inventory management systems, ensuring accurate transaction recording and discrepancy resolution. Maintain internal controls and ensure appropriate storage conditions. Plan and supervise storage and distribution, including space organization and internal movements. Ensure efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of commodities, including cold chain items. Coordinate logistics platform operations and facilitate smooth goods flow. Monitor loading/unloading activities for accuracy and compliance. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customs, UN agencies, NGOs, and government counterparts. Adapt supply movement plans to real-time constraints and ensure continuous information flow. Prepare regular reports on stock levels, pipeline status, and supply movements. Support operational security and compliance. Contribute to supply chain process improvements. Supervise affiliate personnel as needed.
Work Experience
Essential: Minimum of ten years of related experience in warehouse management, logistics, supply, and procurement, specifically for UN agencies and NGOs. Desirable: Additional experience in related fields is beneficial.
Skills
Sound organization skills, stress and time management skills, good knowledge of WHO systems, procedures, and practices. Competencies include Teamwork, Respecting and promoting individual and cultural differences, Communication, Producing results, and Moving forward in a changing environment. Expert knowledge of English and Arabic is essential.
