Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the Hubs Coordinator and Incident Manager in managing crisis response interventions and the Health Cluster. This involves coordinating with local health authorities, international organizations, NGOs, and civil society. The role also entails coordinating the procurement and distribution of medical supplies and logistics. Additionally, the position supports field missions by organizing meetings with various stakeholders, facilitating coordination meetings, and engaging local partners in assessment and response efforts. Preparing updated information for Health Cluster partners, drafting workplans, and monitoring project implementation and budgets are also core duties. The role includes supporting clinical assessments, data collection, identifying health trends, and acting as a Security Focal Point and administrative officer for the hub.
Work Experience
Essential: Minimum of two years' experience in emergency health sector work at national or international level, preferably within WHO, the UN system, or a governmental/non-governmental organization. Desirable: Experience in monitoring sub-national field projects and managerial experience are advantageous.
Skills
Organizational, analytical, and evaluation skills. Knowledge of donor agreements and UN financial rules. Proficiency in information management systems. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Strong written communication skills. Fluency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian is essential.
