Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to significantly improve the management of knowledge and information within the WHO Country Office in Ukraine. This involves strengthening systems and processes to ensure efficient information flow, support informed decision-making, and enhance overall operational performance. The role will contribute to the continuity of critical workflows and the effective dissemination of project outcomes and lessons learned, ultimately bolstering the impact of WHO's health initiatives in the country. By centralizing information and fostering collaboration, the consultant will play a key part in optimizing the office's efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating a monthly project implementation tracker, detailing progress, outputs, and pending actions. The consultant will organize and document at least ten coordination or technical meetings, providing agendas, participant lists, and action notes within five working days. Establishing and maintaining a structured digital filing system on Teams/SharePoint for all project documentation, categorized by thematic area, is crucial. Additionally, the role involves developing at least three communication or knowledge products, such as technical briefs or success stories, to showcase project results and lessons learned. All deliverables must be submitted in English or Ukrainian in MS WORD format.
Work Experience
Requires at least three years of experience in knowledge management, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, or process improvement. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in health systems or humanitarian settings, is essential. Experience with WHO or other UN agencies, and working in Ukraine or similar country offices, is desirable.
Skills
Essential skills include strong organizational and analytical abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging diverse stakeholders, proficiency in knowledge management tools and methodologies, and mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive). Familiarity with WHO or UN agency processes is desirable.
