Job Purpose
The Social Media, Digital Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for enhancing WFP's mission and profile within the Republic of Korea by leveraging social media and digital platforms. This role involves developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging digital content (graphics, videos, written posts), and managing WFP's online presence to resonate with the Korean public. The coordinator will track performance metrics, analyze audience trends to optimize engagement, and monitor online conversations to manage reputational risks. Additionally, the position supports event planning, assists in managing relationships with Goodwill Ambassadors, and identifies opportunities for collaboration with influencers and creative agencies to maximize outreach and public engagement.
Responsibilities
The Social Media, Digital Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the World Food Programme's (WFP) online presence and engagement. Key responsibilities include developing and executing social media plans and editorial calendars that align with WFP's global advocacy and fundraising campaigns. This involves curating, producing, and managing high-quality digital content, such as graphics, videos, and written posts, for various platforms including social media channels, the WFP website, and email newsletters. A significant part of the role involves tracking performance metrics and analyzing audience insights and digital trends to optimize engagement strategies. The coordinator also monitors online conversations and social media trends to provide timely updates, enhance audience interaction, and manage reputational risks. Additionally, they support the planning and coordination of events, assist in managing relationships with WFP Goodwill Ambassadors by identifying content creation opportunities, and seek out new influencers and creative agencies to expand outreach. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for generating dynamic and impactful content. The role also encompasses performing other related duties as required to support WFP's mission.
Work Experience
Requires at least one year of professional experience in social media platform management, digital marketing, and content creation. Candidates should demonstrate proven experience in these areas, possess a good understanding of social media KPIs and digital marketing performance analysis, and have the ability to create high-quality digital content and compelling social media copy. Expertise in Adobe creative suite and video editing software is preferred.
