Job Purpose
The Business Transformation Officer will partner with business units to translate their needs and operating environments into effective IT solutions, driving business satisfaction and transformation. This role supports digital initiatives by contributing to business cases, planning, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication. The officer will assist in the deployment, adoption, and testing of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business, security, and operational requirements. Key responsibilities include capturing and documenting business requirements, identifying automation opportunities using WFP platforms, and ensuring digital activities comply with WFP standards. The role also involves contributing to service catalog management, data integrity, and supporting digital platforms for programme accountability and beneficiary engagement.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting digital transformation initiatives by developing business cases, tracking risks, communicating with stakeholders, and monitoring benefits and user satisfaction. Key responsibilities include facilitating the deployment and adoption of IT solutions, ensuring they align with business, security, and operational requirements. This includes capturing, analyzing, and documenting business needs for IT solutions, adhering to WFP policies and strategies. The position also focuses on identifying opportunities for process automation using WFP platforms, maintaining a service catalog of IT solutions, and ensuring compliance with digital transformation standards, cybersecurity, and data protection policies. Additionally, the role supports the IT service desk in managing incidents and service requests, ensuring efficient resolution and user satisfaction. It also entails ensuring data integrity and quality through data governance practices, maintaining digital platforms for programme accountability, analyzing business processes for improvements, and developing business intelligence solutions and reports for evidence-based decision-making. The role coordinates digital transformation projects, supports information management strategies, oversees the country office digital solutions portfolio, and drives business process digitalization and automation. Preparing documentation, monitoring user adoption, and delivering training are also crucial aspects of this position.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in user support with a focus on timely, high-quality service delivery. Additionally, candidates should have experience in modeling data and information flows to document key decisions and outcomes. A total of 5 years of relevant experience is needed, including at least 1 year of professional experience.
