Job Purpose

The Programme Assistant G5 will provide crucial support to all WFP interventions within the Saclepea Field Office in Liberia, encompassing areas such as Home Grown School Feeding, Crisis Response, Health Supply Chain, and Resilience building. This role is instrumental in strengthening data quality, contributing to corporate reporting, and ensuring effective planning and implementation of programme activities. The incumbent will assist activity managers and programme teams by ensuring timely and proper execution of key interventions, performing basic data analysis, and contributing to programme plans and reports. This position supports the smooth operation and successful delivery of WFP's assistance packages in the field, fostering collaboration with local partners and contributing to operational decision-making through accurate data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

The World Food Programme (WFP) seeks a Programme Support role to assist in the implementation of various interventions, including school feeding, crisis response, health supply chain, and resilience-building activities within the Liberia Field Office. This position is crucial for strengthening data quality, corporate reporting, planning, and knowledge management. The job holder will support activity managers and programme teams by ensuring timely and proper planning and execution of key programme interventions. Responsibilities include contributing to programme plans and reports, performing basic data analysis, and ensuring the smooth implementation of projects. Key tasks involve supporting programme implementation aligned with WFP policies, compiling and analyzing data for operational decision-making, accurately recording data, and collaborating with internal counterparts and external partners like local agencies, NGOs, and government institutions. The role also involves acting as a point of contact for operational queries, supporting emergency preparedness, and managing programme data and documentation. A secondary school education with at least five years of related experience in programme support, administration, reporting, or data management is required. Proficiency in English and strong analytical, coordination, and computer skills, particularly with Excel and SharePoint, are essential. The ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately is also valued.
