Job Purpose
The Private Partnerships Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting WFP China's fundraising efforts by developing and executing engaging social media content, including drafting, designing, filming, and editing posts. This role involves monitoring social media performance, analyzing data to identify effective communication strategies, and enhancing fundraising outcomes. The consultant will assist in creating and delivering communication strategies for individual giving activities, donor outreach, and storytelling. Additionally, they will provide communication support for fundraising events and campaigns, manage online fundraising pages, and assist with unit activities. The objective is to strengthen WFP's engagement with private donors and partners in China, ultimately contributing to the organization's humanitarian mission.
Responsibilities
The Private Partnerships Consultant will be responsible for supporting the World Food Programme (WFP) China's fundraising efforts through comprehensive social media management and communication strategies. This includes the planning, creation, and regular updating of engaging social media content, involving drafting, designing, filming, and editing digital materials. A key responsibility is to monitor and analyze the performance of WFP China's social media accounts, as well as those of competitors, to identify effective communication tactics that enhance fundraising outcomes. The consultant will also assist in developing and executing communication strategies aimed at promoting individual giving activities, which involves donor outreach, compelling storytelling, and crafting campaign-specific messages. Furthermore, they will provide communication support for fundraising events and campaigns, preparing materials for partners and donors, and aiding in event coordination. Maintaining and updating WFP China’s online individual fundraising pages, ensuring compliance with platform requirements, and supporting the organization of meetings and activities within the Private Partnerships unit are also core duties. The role requires performing other assigned duties as needed to support the unit's objectives.
Work Experience
The role requires proven experience in managing social media platforms, creating engaging multimedia content, and analyzing performance data to support individual giving campaigns and donor storytelling. Demonstrated ability to provide communication support for fundraising events and manage online fundraising pages is also necessary. Excellent bilingual (English and Chinese) communication and organizational skills are essential.
