Job Purpose
The Head of Programme - CSTI will provide essential technical, operational, and data verification support for WFP's assistance programs in the Marib area of Yemen. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and accountable implementation of food, cash, and nutrition activities within a challenging operational context. The incumbent will focus on tracking cooperating partner data, monitoring distribution sites, resolving field-level bottlenecks, and supporting beneficiary registration and retargeting. This position plays a key role in ensuring that life-saving assistance is delivered in strict alignment with WFP's Country Strategic Plan and corporate compliance guidelines, directly contributing to the organization's mission of saving lives and changing lives.
Responsibilities
The Head of Programme in Marib, Yemen, plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's (WFP) humanitarian operations in a complex and high-risk environment. This position provides essential technical, operational, and data verification support for the implementation, tracking, and monitoring of WFP's assistance programs, including food, cash, and nutrition activities. The role involves close collaboration with the Head of Field Office and focuses on ensuring field-level activities are executed smoothly and in compliance with WFP's Country Strategic Plan and corporate guidelines. Key responsibilities include coordinating with logistics teams for timely delivery, conducting field monitoring and inspections to verify safety and quality, and meticulously reviewing data and reports from cooperating partners to ensure accuracy. The incumbent will also support digitalization efforts, assist in tracking beneficiary registration and retargeting workflows, and help resolve field bottlenecks and complaints. Furthermore, the role involves liaising with local humanitarian partners, preparing operational reports, guiding partner staff on reporting standards, and assisting in the preparation of briefings for visiting delegations. In essence, the Head of Programme is vital for the accountable and efficient delivery of life-saving assistance to vulnerable populations in Yemen.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian operations or project implementation. Experience in field monitoring and data checking is also mandatory.
