Job Purpose
The Junior Business Support Assistant (Communications) will provide essential administrative and communication support to the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil. This role is crucial for developing and disseminating communication products across various channels, including online and offline platforms, to enhance WFP's visibility and reputation. The incumbent will assist in maintaining communication assets, managing data entry for social media calendars, and supporting content formatting to align with corporate messaging. Additionally, the position involves administrative tasks related to communications operations, such as procurement and reporting, and may include assisting with material translation and adaptation. The objective is to ensure efficient and effective communication activities that support fundraising initiatives and strengthen the Centre's outreach and impact.
Responsibilities
The Junior Business Support Assistant (Communications) will provide crucial administrative and communication support to the WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and dissemination of communication content across various channels, ensuring alignment with WFP's corporate messaging. This involves managing office files, documents, and multimedia assets, maintaining an organized and accessible information system. The role also entails data entry and tracking for social media calendars and communications reports, supporting the graphic design unit with content formatting, and performing administrative tasks such as procurement processes. Additionally, the assistant will help prepare periodic reports on communication activities, translate and adapt communication materials, and perform other related duties as required. This position aims to enhance WFP's visibility and reputation and support fundraising initiatives through effective communication strategies.
Work Experience
Requires at least one year of relevant work experience in office and administrative procedures, reporting, and database management. Experience supporting communications activities, such as content production or social media, is also beneficial.
