Organizational Context
These positions are within WFP Country Offices, supporting administrative functions. Job holders report to a Business Support Associate or a Head of Unit/Chief. At this level, individuals work with minimal supervision, performing specific business support activities and ensuring organized, accurate work. They may also guide junior staff on standard practices.
Job Purpose
To provide essential business support services within a specific professional area, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services. This role involves gathering information to assist in document drafting and report preparation, responding to client queries, and escalating issues as needed. The position also supports administrative and financial tasks, contributes to accurate documentation through revision and proofreading, and maintains standard systems and files for easy access to information. Additionally, the role identifies data discrepancies, ensures data integrity in corporate systems, and offers guidance to junior colleagues on routine business support methods and practices.

These roles require a secondary school education, at least four years of progressive work experience in general administration, proficiency in office software, knowledge of work routines, tact, courtesy, and the ability to identify and rectify data issues. Fluency in a UN language and the local language is also essential.
Work Experience
Requires four or more years of progressively responsible work experience within the relevant business stream. This experience should include general administrative work. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for general administrative tasks and progressively responsible duties in their field.
