Job Purpose
The Business Transformation Officer will partner with business units to understand their needs and operating environments, translating these into effective IT solutions. This role involves capturing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and strategies. The officer will communicate these requirements to stakeholders, facilitate shared understanding, and support the implementation of IT solutions. Key responsibilities include testing IT solutions against requirements, maintaining the IT service catalog, and assisting project managers with planning and risk management. The goal is to enhance business satisfaction by ensuring IT capabilities effectively support organizational objectives and drive transformation.
Responsibilities
The role involves partnering with business units to understand their needs and operational context, translating these into effective IT solutions. Key responsibilities include capturing, analyzing, and documenting business requirements using various methods like diagrams and flowcharts, ensuring alignment with WFP policies and strategies. This position requires collaborating with senior team members to communicate requirements clearly to business counterparts, fostering a shared understanding for successful strategy implementation. The role also entails managing and tracking business requirements throughout the implementation lifecycle to facilitate change management. Testing and analyzing IT solutions to verify their accuracy against business needs is crucial. Maintaining communication with business stakeholders, keeping them informed of IT actions, and updating the service catalog of available IT solutions are also part of the duties. Furthermore, the position involves reviewing IT service level agreements (SLAs) for discrepancies and assisting in surveying business satisfaction with IT services. Support will be provided to project managers in areas such as estimation, business case development, planning, and risk management, all while adhering to established processes for business relationship management, business analysis, and IT project management to ensure compliance and consistency.
Work Experience
The role requires an advanced university degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant work experience or training is acceptable. Desired experiences include performing user support activities that led to timely, high-quality service delivery and modeling data and information flows to document key decisions and results.
