Job Purpose
The Monitoring Assistant will support WFP's mission by conducting field monitoring, verification, and quality assurance of various food assistance programs. The Assistant will coordinate with Cooperating Partners (CPs) and Third-Party Monitors (TPMs) to gather program data, resolve routine issues, and ensure compliance with WFP standards. Responsibilities
The role involves comprehensive field monitoring, verification, and quality assurance of World Food Programme (WFP) activities, including food assistance, school feeding, nutrition, and livelihoods programs. Responsibilities include coordinating and conducting monitoring, verifying the movement and distribution of items, resolving routine issues, and ensuring compliance with WFP standards and accountability frameworks. Job holders must document findings, risks, and follow-up actions in detailed reports. Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Programme, Monitoring and Evaluation, data management, and field monitoring. Must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office for reporting and data visualization, and the ability to prepare precise monitoring reports. Fluency in English and Afghanistan's formal languages is essential. The role demands the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take on additional responsibilities.
