Job Purpose
The Human Resources Officer (NOB) in WFP Yemen will report to the Head of Human Resources and is responsible for ensuring the Entitlements and Benefit team delivers professional, client-focused HR services. Responsibilities
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for ensuring the Entitlements and Benefit team delivers professional, client-focused HR services in the WFP Yemen country office. This role involves partnering with managers to implement HR solutions aligned with WFP's corporate priorities. Key accountabilities include contributing to country office plans and processes, delivering HR operational activities, and providing advice to managers and employees on policies and procedures. The officer will manage the employment relationship by administering conditions of service, contracts, and entitlements, and resolving employee relations issues. A significant responsibility is the accurate processing of national payroll. The role also encompasses delivering effective onboarding for new employees, contributing to talent management and retention strategies, and assisting managers with succession planning. Furthermore, the HR Officer will guide and supervise junior staff, analyze HR data for reporting and decision-making, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and systems. Leading HR projects, such as payroll system integration, is also a key duty. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and client-service skills, with fluency in English and Arabic.
Work Experience
Requires a total of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of professional experience specifically in Human Resources. An interest in international humanitarian development is also desired.
