Job Purpose
The Finance Officer NOA will support the stewardship of WFP’s financial resources by monitoring budgets, forecasting financial needs, and reporting on key financial data. This role is crucial for enabling effective fund management and ensuring that humanitarian assistance is delivered efficiently and effectively to beneficiaries. The officer will contribute to financial planning, perform regular financial closures, and manage disbursements and receivables. Additionally, the position may involve providing basic administrative and human resource support, such as managing local staff recruitment or staff benefits, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports for informed decision-making. The role also involves tracking data to enhance policies and procedures, minimize financial risks, and ensure operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives, while supporting financial controls and risk assessments.

The role also entails undertaking basic HR functions, collating data for reporting, tracking data to improve policies and procedures, contributing to financial controls, and guiding junior staff. Additionally, representatives may attend internal and external meetings and ensure preparedness for emergency responses.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in performing basic financial analyses at both national and operational levels, as well as experience in managing financial transactions. These skills are essential for supporting financial stewardship, monitoring budgets, forecasting, and reporting on key data to ensure efficient fund management and effective beneficiary assistance.
