Job Purpose

The Digital Transformation Lead Consultant will play a crucial role in strengthening WFP’s next-generation beneficiary and assistance-delivery ecosystem. This involves leading discovery and service design to capture Country Office priorities, user needs, and digital enablement gaps. The incumbent will support the rollout and adoption of solutions, ensuring they are effectively deployed and continuously improved based on field feedback. By acting as a field-facing coordination focal point, the role will translate operational requirements into technology priorities and governance inputs. This position is key to de-risking digital transformation investments by ensuring solutions are validated against Country Office needs, aligned with strategic priorities, and adopted in the field, ultimately enhancing efficiency and coherence across WFP operations.

Responsibilities

The Digital Transformation Lead Consultant will play a crucial role in strengthening the World Food Programme's (WFP) next-generation beneficiary and assistance-delivery ecosystem. This involves enhancing registration processes, the beneficiary registry, enterprise deduplication, and digital assistance delivery capabilities. The consultant will lead discovery and service design efforts to understand Country Office priorities, constraints, user needs, and digital enablement gaps. This includes capturing field realities and translating them into technology priorities and solution enhancements. A key responsibility is to support the rollout and adoption of new solutions, ensuring they are effectively deployed and refined based on field feedback. The role involves acting as a field-facing coordination focal point, engaging with various stakeholders including WFP, partners, and government counterparts through consultations and user research. The consultant will document current and future-state processes, create service blueprints, and develop prioritized requirements backlogs. They will also facilitate structured feedback loops to inform solution enhancements and support arrangements, ensuring alignment with corporate systems, data governance, and security requirements. Additionally, the consultant will contribute to digital capability gap analysis and identify/escalate risks and dependencies affecting the digital solutions, promoting coherent digital transformation across WFP operations.

Work Experience

Requires at least five years of progressive experience in areas such as business transformation, digital assistance services, beneficiary management systems, operational technology support, business analysis, change management, or digital solution adoption, preferably within humanitarian or development contexts.
