Job Purpose
The Business Support Assistant (Supply Chain) will provide essential business support for supply chain operations in Dhaka. This role involves collecting and analyzing data to support reporting and decision-making, managing routine administrative and financial tasks, and maintaining accurate records and databases. The assistant will also respond to standard queries, proofread documents, and contribute to process improvements. By ensuring efficient information flow and administrative support, this position is crucial for the effective and timely management of supply chain resources and service delivery within WFP's humanitarian mission.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve providing comprehensive business support to enhance the efficiency of other staff members. This includes collecting and organizing information for reports, documents, and correspondence, as well as managing routine administrative and financial tasks to ensure effective resource management. A key aspect is maintaining accurate records and databases, making information readily accessible. The role also requires responding to standard queries with timely and accurate guidance, and fostering relationships with various individuals to facilitate information sharing and service delivery. Additionally, responsibilities extend to proofreading documents according to established guidelines, contributing to the improvement of business procedures, and performing basic data analysis for quality information management. Finally, the position involves guiding junior colleagues in their duties, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Work Experience
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required. A university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) is mandatory. A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
