Job Purpose
The Programme Business Support Assistant will perform specialized and standardized programme-related tasks to ensure the effective delivery of WFP's assistance packages. This role involves supporting programme planning and execution, managing partnerships, and maintaining accurate records for food, assets, and beneficiaries. The assistant will contribute to programme monitoring, risk identification, and reporting, including preparing updates for donors and situational reports. Additionally, the role requires contributing to programme assessments and supporting the preparation of field activity work plans and budgets with a focus on accountability and value for money.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the planning and execution of humanitarian and resilience programs, ensuring alignment with needs and corporate standards. Key responsibilities include assisting in managing partnerships with various stakeholders, maintaining accurate program records for accountability, and conducting program monitoring and partner oversight to inform analysis and reporting. The position requires developing operational feedback, identifying implementation risks, and supporting follow-up actions. Contributions to program updates, field mission notes, and donor reports are essential. The role also supports emergency preparedness, anticipatory action, and response activities, including multisectoral initiatives. Furthermore, the role contributes to program assessments, reviews, and evaluations, and supports the preparation of field activity work plans and budgets with a focus on accountability and value for money. The ability to work effectively in demanding field environments, adapt to evolving humanitarian-development contexts, and possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills is crucial. Proactive engagement with partners and stakeholders at the local level is also a key requirement.
