Job Purpose
The Human Resources Associate will support the WFP Ukraine HR Unit in delivering high-quality, client-focused HR services. This role involves managing complex HR queries, onboarding new staff, preparing HR documentation, and utilizing the Workday HR management system for data entry and monitoring. The Associate will also contribute to talent acquisition, learning and performance management, staff relations, and contracting. A key aspect of the role is to identify evolving organizational needs and recommend process improvements to enhance HR service delivery. The position requires a proactive approach to support junior staff development and ensure efficient HR operations, contributing to WFP's mission in a challenging operational context.
Responsibilities
The role involves managing complex HR queries to ensure high-quality, client-focused HR services. Responsibilities include allocating tasks and supporting the on-the-job learning of junior staff, ensuring they understand HR systems and procedures for effective service delivery. The position requires identifying evolving organizational needs and recommending improvements to HR processes and procedures. A key duty is reviewing and compiling data on recruitment, selection, contractual conditions, entitlements, performance, training, and workforce statistics to support analysis and reporting. The role also includes onboarding new staff, explaining terms of service, and preparing essential HR documentation such as employment contracts and separation letters with accuracy and timeliness. Utilizing the Workday (HCM) system for data entry, review, and monitoring deadlines is crucial for maintaining HR data accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the position involves monitoring staff deployment, handling administrative actions, and preparing reports to facilitate efficient HR services and enable rapid response to issues. Work Experience
Requires a minimum of six years of progressive support work experience in general administration, with at least three of those years specifically in human resources. Post-secondary education can be substituted for some years of experience. For instance, three years of experience combined with a Master's degree, or four years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, may fulfill the requirement.
