Job Purpose

The Roster Enqueteurs will be responsible for rigorous, high-quality data collection in the field, adhering strictly to WFP standards, ethical principles, and established procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring the availability of reliable data essential for programmatic decision-making. Enqueteurs will utilize digital tools for data capture, ensure data accuracy and completeness, and maintain the confidentiality of respondents. They will apply methodological protocols, report anomalies promptly, and participate in quality control activities. The position requires adherence to WFP policies on Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), fraud prevention, and beneficiary protection, with a commitment to professional conduct and timely data transmission.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of an Enumerator is to conduct rigorous data collection in the field, adhering strictly to the World Food Programme's (WFP) standards, ethical principles, and established procedures. This involves administering questionnaires accurately, utilizing digital tools like tablets and ODK/MoDa for secure data capture, and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the collected data. Enumerators must meticulously follow methodological protocols and quality standards, maintain data confidentiality, and obtain informed consent from respondents. They are also responsible for the proper use, storage, and maintenance of equipment. Furthermore, timely data transmission, prompt reporting of any anomalies, and participation in debriefings and data quality control are crucial. Regular synchronization of data on secure platforms is required. Enumerators must also strictly adhere to WFP policies on Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), fraud prevention, and beneficiary protection, as any violation will lead to immediate termination of the collaboration. Performance is evaluated based on data quality, timeliness, adherence to procedures, professionalism, and compliance with PSEA and Code of Conduct rules.

Work Experience

Requires at least 1 year of experience in field data collection, preferably with NGOs, UN agencies, or development projects. Experience in household or community surveys (food security, nutrition) is essential. Experience in humanitarian contexts is a plus. Proficiency in digital data collection tools (ODK, KoBo, etc.), electronic equipment use, data quality understanding, and strong communication skills are necessary.
