Job Purpose

The Intern, Multilateral Engagement Team will support the WFP Geneva Global Office in its mission to enhance representation and positioning within multilateral and Member State dialogues. The role involves analyzing WFP's positioning on humanitarian policy and governance discussions, and increasing engagement with Member States through information sharing and updates on WFP operations. The intern will also assist in outreach to Private Sector partners in Switzerland. Key responsibilities include tracking Member State positions, supporting engagement with potential partners in the Geneva international context, preparing meeting briefs for senior management, and assisting in the development of proposals and concept notes. This internship offers a valuable learning experience in partner and stakeholder mapping, engagement, analysis, and communication preparation within a leading humanitarian organization.

Work Experience

While no specific work experience is mandated, candidates with previous exposure to multilateral, national government, or NGO policy development are preferred. Prior international education or work experience is also considered an asset. Additionally, experience in preparing briefs and communications, along with a basic understanding of government strategies and data analysis for visualization, would be beneficial.
