Job Purpose
The Human Resource Officer - Talent Acquisition will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing WFP's talent acquisition strategies to identify, attract, and hire the best talent globally. This role involves full-cycle recruitment, utilizing innovative sourcing techniques and digital tools to build strong talent pipelines and enhance WFP's employer brand. The incumbent will partner with managers to understand staffing needs, streamline recruitment processes through data analysis, and contribute to a positive onboarding experience for new employees. Additionally, the role supports corporate learning and development initiatives and strengthens HR colleagues' capabilities in talent acquisition, onboarding, and contract management, ensuring alignment with WFP's strategic goals and policies.
Responsibilities
The National HR Officer role at the World Food Programme (WFP) in Cairo, Egypt, focuses on supporting people operations within the Regional Office for the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia (MENAEE). Key responsibilities include managing talent acquisition, contract administration, and onboarding processes. The officer will develop and implement strategies to identify, attract, and hire top talent, utilizing innovative sourcing techniques and employer branding initiatives. This involves partnering with managers to understand staffing needs and deliver HR solutions aligned with WFP's corporate priorities. The role also entails supporting corporate learning and development programs, enhancing regional engagement, and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new employees. Additionally, the officer will contribute to the effective management of employment relationships, administer conditions of service, and prepare reports on talent acquisition activities. A significant aspect involves strengthening HR colleagues' skills in talent acquisition, learning and development, onboarding, and contract management, while advocating for diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment lifecycle. The position requires a proactive approach to improving recruitment processes, ensuring timely hiring, and maintaining high-quality employment documentation.
Work Experience
The role requires at least five years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of one year of postgraduate professional experience specifically in recruitment, selection, and talent acquisition. Key skills include developing candidate pipeline methodologies, effective outreach strategies, leveraging social media for employer branding, and a strong understanding of Talent Acquisition best practices and current trends. Proficiency in communication and customer orientation are also essential.
