Responsibilities
The Senior Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services, including primary and emergency care, to WFP staff, other UN personnel, and their dependents. This involves conducting medical consultations, examinations, and assessments, such as entry, periodic, exit, and driver's fitness evaluations. The role also entails offering technical oversight to ensure evidence-based patient care aligns with professional standards and ethical practices across all WFP Clinics. A key aspect is providing continuous technical guidance for clinic operations, including medical supply chains, procurement, referral networks, and partnerships with local facilities. The Senior Doctor contributes to health information systems by providing input on data analysis, tracking utilization, and maintaining patient data systems. Furthermore, the position supports health promotion initiatives, disease prevention campaigns, and staff wellbeing programs. Ensuring strict adherence to medical confidentiality and data protection standards is paramount. Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional postgraduate experience relevant to the field is required. Experience in a hardship location under difficult and insecure environments is considered an asset. Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and analytical skills are necessary. The ability to work effectively with diverse populations and deliver training sessions is also important.
