Job Purpose
The Senior Programme Lead - One Payroll (SAP S/4HANA) will spearhead the end-to-end delivery of WFP's strategic One Payroll Programme. This pivotal role involves leading the phased SAP rollout, ensuring seamless migration of payroll populations and close alignment with HR, Finance, and Technology stakeholders. The incumbent will manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments, driving the successful implementation of a high-quality payroll solution while proactively mitigating risks, dependencies, and organizational change impacts. The objective is to establish a sustainable, centralized payroll operating model that significantly improves efficiency, ensures compliance, and enhances service delivery across WFP's global operations, contributing directly to the organization's mission of achieving zero hunger.
Responsibilities
The Senior Programme Lead – One Payroll (SAP S/4HANA) will spearhead the end-to-end delivery of the One Payroll Programme, a critical digital transformation initiative for the World Food Programme (WFP). This role involves leading the consolidation of payroll systems into a unified SAP-based solution, aligning with the ongoing SAP S/4HANA upgrade and HR solutions. The Programme Lead will oversee all project phases, from initiation and design to deployment and stabilization, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet business requirements and technical standards. A key responsibility is managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments, fostering collaboration between Technology, HR, Finance, and Country Offices. This includes actively participating in governance structures, facilitating decision-making, and managing escalations. The role demands proactive risk, issue, and dependency management, alongside meticulous planning, scope control, and delivery oversight. Financial and resource management are also crucial, ensuring the programme stays within budget and utilizes resources efficiently. Ultimately, the Programme Lead will contribute to establishing a sustainable, centralized payroll operating model, enhancing efficiency, compliance, and service delivery across WFP's global operations.
Work Experience
Requires 10-12 years of progressive project/programme management experience, with a proven track record in large-scale ERP/SAP implementations. Experience managing global, multi-stakeholder programmes is essential. Experience with Workday, HR/payroll, or shared services transformation is highly desirable. A strong understanding of how technology can optimize geographically distributed teams is also needed, along with familiarity in an international working environment.
