Job Purpose
The Programme Policy Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting) will provide critical analytical support to the Implementation Support Unit (ISU) for the Benazir Nashonuma Programme (BNP) in Pakistan. This role is essential for strengthening programme monitoring, evaluation, data management, and reporting mechanisms. By ensuring robust data analysis and clear, actionable insights, the incumbent will enable informed decision-making across country and provincial offices. The position aims to enhance programme performance, streamline operations, and improve the overall effectiveness of the BNP, ultimately contributing to WFP's humanitarian mission and the well-being of beneficiaries.
Responsibilities
The Programme Policy Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting) plays a crucial role in strengthening program implementation and data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing monitoring plans and tools to track program performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and corporate objectives across all provinces. This involves acting as the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) focal point, coordinating tasks between provincial and country offices, and assisting management in monitoring progress. The role also requires providing analytical support, translating complex data into actionable insights, and offering recommendations to improve operational systems and dashboards. Furthermore, the officer is responsible for preparing high-quality performance reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries, and developing compelling data visualizations. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to streamline data collection, ensuring adherence to reporting standards, and collating information from various sources to enhance operational awareness. The position also involves organizing training sessions to build staff capacity in M&E and data analysis, ultimately contributing to the overall effectiveness and improvement of the program.
Work Experience
Requires at least 3 years of relevant post-graduation professional/managerial experience, particularly in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and operational management, including program management and data reporting.
