Job Purpose
The Senior Video Editor Consultant will lead the creation and delivery of high-quality, consistent, and impactful video content for WFP's global communications. This role involves serving as a senior technical resource to ensure editorial consistency, visual identity, and production quality across all video outputs from headquarters, regional, and country offices. The consultant will also develop and implement video production standards, provide technical guidance and training to colleagues and partners, and produce and edit high-profile video content for flagship initiatives. The objective is to enhance WFP's visual storytelling capabilities, align video content with the organization's brand and humanitarian goals, and contribute to effective communication strategies that support WFP's mission.
Responsibilities
The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and impactful video content across the World Food Programme's global communications. This role involves acting as a senior technical resource to maintain editorial consistency, visual identity, and production quality for videos produced by headquarters, regional, and country offices. Key responsibilities include reviewing video products, providing constructive editorial feedback, and identifying areas for improvement. The Senior Video Editor will also lead the development and updating of video production guidelines and workflows. Furthermore, they will provide technical guidance and capacity support to video editors and multimedia colleagues globally, including designing and delivering training sessions. A significant part of the role involves producing and editing high-profile video content for global campaigns and executive communications, ensuring alignment with WFP's brand and humanitarian objectives. This includes applying advanced post-production techniques such as sound design, color grading, and motion graphics. The position also entails operational support, including supervising an Assistant TV Studio Producer, providing technical assistance for studio productions, and managing audiovisual assets. The ultimate goal is to enhance WFP's visual storytelling and maintain high standards across all video outputs.
Work Experience
Requires at least 8 years of experience in video production and post-production. Must have proven experience producing high-quality audiovisual content for international or institutional audiences.
