Job Purpose

The Logistics Associate (Warehouse Management) G6 will be responsible for the effective planning and management of warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient storage of all commodities and supplies in compliance with WFP guidelines. This role involves coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and conducting regular stock verifications to identify and address any discrepancies. The incumbent will also contribute to the review of corporate warehouse standards, oversee the safeguarding of commodities through preventive measures, and optimize warehouse space utilization for cost-efficiency. Additionally, the role requires supervising warehouse staff, identifying training needs, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver aligned warehouse services.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient storage and handling of commodities and supplies in strict adherence to WFP guidelines. This involves meticulous planning and execution of all warehouse activities, including the coordination of commodity receipt and dispatch, and maintaining accurate transaction records. Work Experience

Requires six or more years of progressive experience in warehouse management, inventory control, commodity handling, stock reconciliation, team supervision, and logistics operations. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with organizational standards and maintaining efficient supply chain performance.
