Job Purpose
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will support the "Sharing the Table" project in Cusco, Peru, by conducting field monitoring and assisting in evaluations. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation, efficiency, and sustainability of the project, which aims to strengthen the connection between smallholder farmers and public/private markets. The Assistant will track activities, manage and analyze data, and coordinate with stakeholders to generate evidence for decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Key responsibilities include monitoring project activities and indicators, coordinating M&E processes between Lima and Cusco offices, supporting data collection from family farmers, processing centers, and schools, and contributing to reports and recommendations to enhance project outcomes and operational processes.
Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation and effectiveness of the "Compartiendo la Mesa" project in Cusco, Peru. This role involves conducting timely field monitoring of project activities and interventions, ensuring the collection, registration, and analysis of data related to participation and progress towards goals and indicators. The assistant will coordinate effectively with the RAM Unit, territorial offices, and public and private stakeholders to strengthen monitoring and evaluation processes. A key responsibility is generating strategic evidence and information for decision-making through reports, indicator tracking, and formulating recommendations for process improvement. The role also includes facilitating the accurate registration of beneficiaries and project activities, supporting the preparation of activity reports, and developing follow-up actions for implemented activities. Furthermore, the assistant will manage operational information during implementation, propose strategic indicators for measuring progress, and integrate gender equality principles into all activities. This position requires strong organizational and data processing skills, effective communication abilities, capacity to work under pressure, and teamwork skills, with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
Work Experience
A minimum of four years of work experience is required in social projects/programs, community-level work, or financial advisory. Experience in monitoring social projects or programs for at least one year is desirable. Previous work experience in international cooperation organizations or the United Nations system is also desirable.
