Job Purpose
The Partnership Officer will play a crucial role in supporting WFP Sudan's engagement with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) such as the African Development Bank, World Bank, and Islamic Development Bank. The role involves monitoring IFI and partner priorities to identify relevant funding opportunities for Sudan and contributing to proposals and reports, ensuring strict compliance with donor requirements, including due diligence. The consultant will organize and support various donor engagements, preparing necessary briefs and talking points, and drafting concept papers in coordination with technical teams. A crucial aspect is positioning WFP by effectively presenting programme priorities and funding needs to partners, and supporting the development of partnership agreements. The position also entails coordinating inputs from different teams for consistent messaging, engaging with IFI partners to share information and identify opportunities, and maintaining meticulous records of donor engagements and funding pipelines. Furthermore, the role involves capturing and disseminating lessons learned and best practices to enhance partnership management across teams, contributing significantly to resource mobilization and strategic alignment with donor and partner requirements.
