Job Purpose

The Partnerships Officer will play a vital role in strengthening WFP Egypt's engagement with external stakeholders to advance its mission. This position supports the identification and development of new partnership opportunities, contributing to resource mobilization efforts by monitoring donor priorities and preparing compelling proposals and funding materials. The role involves coordinating external engagement activities, maintaining strong relationships with partners, and ensuring effective communication and representation of WFP. Additionally, the officer will contribute to donor reporting, visibility initiatives, and knowledge management, ensuring that partnership successes are documented and shared. This role is essential for maximizing collective impact and achieving WFP Egypt's programme objectives through strategic collaborations.

Responsibilities

The Partnerships Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's strategic objectives through effective partnership development and resource mobilization. Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing potential partnership opportunities, conducting thorough stakeholder analysis, and contributing to the creation of essential partnership materials such as concept notes and proposals. The officer will also monitor donor priorities and funding trends to aid in resource mobilization efforts, ensuring timely submission of donor documents by coordinating inputs from various units. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining strong communication channels with partners and external stakeholders, supporting the organization of engagement events, and preparing necessary briefing materials. The Partnerships Officer will also assist in donor reporting and the development of visibility materials to highlight partnership achievements. Crucially, the position requires maintaining partnership databases, preparing analytical reports, and contributing to knowledge management initiatives to foster best practices in partnership management and resource mobilization. This multifaceted role is essential for strengthening WFP's collaborative efforts and maximizing its impact.

Work Experience

Requires at least five years of progressive experience, including one year of professional experience in areas such as Partnerships, Resource Mobilization, Donor Relations, External Relations, International Development, Programme Coordination, Communications, or Public Affairs. Proven experience in donor engagement and drafting proposals and external materials is essential. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing partnerships with diverse entities like government institutions, UN agencies, private sector, foundations, academia, or civil society organizations is also required.
