Organizational Context
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, dedicated to saving lives and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability, and prosperity. In Chad, WFP provides vital food assistance and implements complementary programs to address the root causes of hunger and build community resilience, particularly in the Lac region (Bol).
Job Purpose
The Assistant.e aux Opérations G4 Programme will support the Bol field office in monitoring key planned activities and implemented programs. This role involves tracking progress, strengthening the capacity of implementing partner organizations, and ensuring all actions align with program objectives. The incumbent will maintain coordination with local program partners, upholding WFP's principles of neutrality, impartiality, independence, and transparency. A key responsibility is integrating cross-cutting principles like gender and protection into field activities. The position requires verifying food and non-food distributions, maintaining accurate records, collecting data for program reviews, and preparing field mission reports to assess the quality of distribution and implementation processes.
Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of program monitoring plans, such as product movement logs and checklists, to facilitate efficient delivery and distribution. Data collection is crucial for monitoring assistance program distributions, following established institutional guidelines to support program reviews, implementation adjustments, and informed decision-making. This includes issuing food release notes (FRNs) in the COMET system and systematically entering field monitoring recommendations and partner reports into the online database. Maintaining communication with cooperating partners and internal stakeholders is vital for gathering feedback to improve program reviews and service delivery. Feedback from partners and beneficiaries is compiled to identify programmatic issues and enhance operational effectiveness. Proposing improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures is expected to ensure efficient implementation of assistance programs. Preparing field mission reports to document program implementation, assess distribution quality, and oversee various activities like school feeding, nutrition, and cash/food distributions is a core duty. Finally, the role requires monitoring emergency intervention processes related to emergency food assistance and performing any other assigned tasks by the supervisor.
