Job Purpose

The Human Resource Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of WFP's People Policy within the Somalia Country Office, specifically focusing on the Area and Field Offices. This position is designed to strengthen client-focused and strategy-oriented HR services by advising managers and employees on all HR-related matters. The incumbent will be instrumental in driving employee engagement, ensuring effective onboarding, and championing performance management and diversity & inclusion initiatives. This role requires a proactive individual capable of communicating HR strategies, facilitating change management, and ensuring compliance with WFP policies and procedures, ultimately contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Work Experience

Requires a minimum of three years of postgraduate professional experience in Human Resources, development, customer service, and administration, with an interest in international humanitarian development. Alternatively, a first university degree with five or more years of relevant experience is acceptable. Key attributes include potential, commitment, agility to learn, strategic thinking, and expertise in MS Office packages.
