Senior Consultant - Strengthening Regional Collaboration on Food Security and Nutrition in Central America Through SICA

Job Purpose
The Senior Consultant will provide strategic and technical support to strengthen WFP's collaboration with the Central American Integration System (SICA) and its specialized entities. The primary objective is to advance food security and nutrition outcomes across SICA Member States by enhancing the implementation of regional policies and strategies. This role involves identifying and developing opportunities for joint programming and resource mobilization, and improving coordination between regional institutions, national governments, and development partners. The consultant will contribute to building resilience to climate shocks, transforming food systems, and expanding access to financing, ultimately supporting Member States in achieving improved food security and nutrition.

Work Experience
Requires proven experience in programme development, partnerships, and resource mobilization. Must possess knowledge of the Central America context and familiarity with regional agricultural coordination mechanisms is a plus. Fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory. Strong communication and facilitation skills, along with sensitivity to the regional policy and institutional context, are essential. Collaborative work with stakeholders is expected.
