Job Purpose
The Programme Policy Officer (Food Systems) will play a crucial role in managing and implementing climate change adaptation and resilience-building initiatives for WFP Tajikistan. This position involves strengthening institutional systems, multi-sectoral coordination, and government capacities for risk-informed planning, preparedness, and response. The officer will advance integrated disaster risk reduction and resilience programming, supporting the expansion of risk-informed approaches and systems strengthening across Central Asia. Key responsibilities include contributing to programme design and implementation, coordinating activities using sustainable approaches, identifying funding opportunities, and overseeing complex integrated resilience programmes. The role also involves providing technical support on livelihood asset creation, conducting value chain analyses, supporting field offices, and building the capacity of staff and partners on food systems and resilience.

Work Experience
Requires at least 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian development projects focused on improving livelihoods and food security, utilizing community-based participatory approaches.
