Job Purpose
The Programme Assistant (Partnerships and Reporting) will support the Sudan Country Office's ambitious scale-up of operations, which is critical due to a severe hunger crisis. This role is essential for maintaining trusted donor relationships through high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting. The assistant will be responsible for data collection, research, analysis, and the production of various information products, including donor reports, operational updates, and incident-related communications. By ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information, the role directly contributes to securing and managing donor funding, which is a core priority for the Country Office's life-saving activities.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve comprehensive data management and reporting to support country office operations. This includes compiling and consolidating data from various sources for reporting, research, and analysis. A key function is supporting the preparation of diverse information products, such as donor reports, operational updates, briefs, and situation analyses, ensuring accuracy and consistency. The role also entails contributing to research and data gathering to inform strategic decisions and donor engagement. Maintaining and updating systems and databases is crucial for data integrity and accessibility. Collaboration with internal units like Programme, Risk, and Supply Chain is essential for gathering inputs and verifying information. The position supports the analysis of donor data and statistics to provide insights into funding trends. Additionally, it involves acting as a focal point for information requests and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and quality. Incident reporting related to donor funds, including data collection and communication material preparation, is also a responsibility. Finally, performing other related duties as required by the Country Office and the Partnerships and Reporting Unit is expected.
Work Experience
Requires five years of relevant experience in partnership and donor work. This includes preparing draft donor reports, presentations, data, and basic analysis. Experience within the UN or INGO sector is preferred.
