Job Purpose

Furthermore, the role supports general TEC storage management and aids in the preparation for ICT asset tagging and deployment. By diligently managing ICT inventory, this role directly contributes to WFP's capacity to deliver humanitarian assistance effectively, ensuring that essential technological resources are available and accounted for, thereby supporting wider humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
Responsibilities
The Inventory Helper (L3) within the Technology (TEC) Unit of WFP Palestine plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of ICT assets, inventory, and warehouse operations across various locations including Jerusalem, West Bank, Gaza, and Amman. Under the supervision of the IT Operations Assistant and the IT Operations Officer, the primary responsibilities involve actively supporting TEC Inventory Operations. This includes performing essential stock handling and storage tasks, ensuring proper organization and accessibility of ICT equipment. A key aspect of the role is to support the entire lifecycle of ICT equipment, from receipt and dispatch to the transfer of items between different WFP Palestine locations. The Inventory Helper is also responsible for meticulous documentation and reporting of all TEC stock and transactions, maintaining accurate records for accountability and operational planning. Furthermore, the position involves TEC Stock Incident and Quality Reporting, identifying and documenting any discrepancies or issues related to inventory. The role requires system support, utilizing various inventory systems such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and barcode scanning tools to maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory data. General TEC Storage support is also a responsibility, ensuring the storage facilities are well-maintained and organized. Additionally, the Inventory Helper assists in ICT asset tagging and deployment preparation, which is vital for tracking and distributing equipment effectively to support WFP's humanitarian and development efforts in the region. This position is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and accurate asset tracking within the TEC Unit.
Work Experience
The role requires a minimum of three years of experience in inventory management, warehouse support, or logistics. Experience specifically with ICT inventory is considered an advantage.
