Job Purpose

The incumbent will onboard new partners, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with WFP standards. Responsibilities include coordinating CP training, acting as a focal point for capacity assessments, and supporting field offices with budget reviews. The ultimate goal is to ensure high-quality programme delivery, effective partner engagement, and robust emergency preparedness through strong coordination and monitoring of agreements.
Responsibilities
The Programme Associate - Coordination of Agreements and Management of Operational Partnerships is responsible for the effective end-to-end management and monitoring of program agreements. This role involves coordinating operational partnerships, including convening Technical Review Committees and Cooperating Partner Committees, ensuring all presented files are compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Key duties include arranging monthly coordination meetings with Cooperating Partners (CPs) to discuss implementation progress and challenges, and onboarding new CPs by coordinating essential trainings on PSEA, anti-fraud, anti-corruption, invoicing, and project specifics. The associate also plans and coordinates CP performance evaluations, follows up on improvement plans, and contributes to the overall CP training plan. Additionally, they serve as the focal point for capacity assessments, maintain the assessment calendar, and support field offices with budget reviews, contributing to cost efficiency. A significant aspect of the role is providing training to colleagues and CPs on CPM processes, advocating for adherence to SOPs and corporate guidance, and performing any other required duties to ensure high-quality presentations, improved CP performance, and effective emergency preparedness.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in a programme area. Additionally, experience in managing or developing agreements/contracts and coordinating across multiple offices/teams is necessary. Experience working with NGOs or the United Nations is also required.
