Job Purpose

The Head of Operational Information Management CST II will lead and coordinate all Operational Information Management & Performance Reporting (OIM & PR) activities in Ukraine. This role is crucial for establishing a standard and consistent operational picture, enabling informed and timely decision-making across all organizational levels. The position involves developing and overseeing systems and tools for effective OIM, performance reporting, and inter-agency information management, ensuring quality and standardization in line with WFP and UN policies. The role requires providing technical advice, overseeing data collation from various sources, and producing analysis to inform WFP's operational responses and donor policies. Collaboration with internal teams, other UN agencies, and capacity building for staff and partners are key responsibilities. The Head of Operational Information Management will also manage a team, contribute to normative guidance, and support emergency response operations.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will lead, oversee, and coordinate all Operational Information Management & Performance Reporting (OIM & PR) activities within WFP Ukraine. A primary responsibility involves establishing and presenting a consistent operational picture of WFP's work and results, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization. You will contribute to developing robust systems and tools for effective OIM, performance reporting, and inter-agency information management, ensuring alignment with WFP and UN policies. Key tasks include providing technical advice and oversight on integrating OIM & PR policies, and approving the collation and dissemination of information from various sources to enhance operational awareness. You will also oversee the drafting and approval of political and humanitarian analysis for WFP’s operational reporting and prepare the Annual Country Report in collaboration with program, M&E, and logistics teams. Collaboration with other UN agencies and WFP Divisions is crucial to ensure consistency in humanitarian information and an aligned approach to data management. Furthermore, you will enhance the capacity of WFP staff, partners, and governments in OIM & PR through training and simulations, manage a small OIM team, and contribute to developing normative guidance and quality standards. Supporting the Country Office during emergencies by overseeing Operational Task Forces and ensuring accurate reporting is also a vital part of this role.

Work Experience

Requires a minimum of six years of postgraduate professional experience, specifically including work in operational information management or related fields.
