Job Purpose
The Monitoring Intern will support the Regional Monitoring Advisor in enhancing data management and reporting capabilities within WFP's regional office. This role involves assisting Country Offices in meeting monitoring requirements and donor expectations by integrating, analyzing, and visualizing monitoring data. Key responsibilities include supporting the migration to a new data management system, contributing to regional trend analysis dashboards, and ensuring data quality through regular checks and cleaning. The intern will also help develop country-specific dashboards and archive monitoring datasets. Key responsibilities include migrating to new data management systems, developing regional and country-specific monitoring dashboards, analyzing and interpreting monitoring data, ensuring data quality, and archiving monitoring datasets. The position also requires coordinating the cleaning and standardization of the Monitoring Regional Library and performing other related monitoring tasks as needed. Deliverables include designing and publishing monitoring dashboards, contributing to a regional trend analysis dashboard, archiving data for closing offices, implementing data quality checks, and standardizing regional filing systems.
Work Experience
Applicants must be Master's students or recent graduates (within six months) in fields such as Public Policy, Development Studies, International Relations, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or Business Administration. Proficiency in English is required, with knowledge of another UN language being an asset. Strong MS Office skills are necessary, and Tableau proficiency is desirable.
