Job Purpose
The Graphic Design and Visual Communications Associate will provide essential support to WFP Lebanon's Communications team, Programme teams, and Field Offices. The primary objective is to enhance the visibility of WFP's programmes and operations through high-quality graphic design and multimedia content creation. This role is crucial for producing a range of materials, including corporate communications, donor visibility products, digital content for social media, and field-based storytelling assets. The associate will also be responsible for managing and archiving all graphic assets and communication products, ensuring compliance with WFP branding guidelines and donor requirements, and maintaining institutional memory.
Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer is responsible for producing a wide range of high-quality communication materials for both internal and external audiences. This includes reports, fact sheets, donor presentations, and storytelling documents. They will also create beneficiary information materials such as posters, leaflets, banners, infographics, and awareness materials, as well as static and animated social media graphics in Arabic and English. A key part of the role involves supporting donor visibility efforts by designing and producing materials like distribution site branding, donor recognition products, and event materials. The designer will also perform photographic editing and manipulation, and contribute to the visual enhancement of WFP Lebanon's digital platforms. Additionally, they will provide technical advice on design materials from partners, develop and maintain standardized templates and visual identity resources, and support field visibility initiatives. The role also entails assisting the Communications team with content creation, layout design, and multimedia development, and maintaining a structured archive of all graphic design files and communication products, ensuring compliance with WFP branding guidelines and donor requirements.
Work Experience
Requires at least six years of progressive experience in graphic design, encompassing visual communications, multimedia production, or related areas. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is essential, along with strong experience in designing publications, digital content, and reports. A solid understanding of visual communication principles, branding, and layout design is also necessary. Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms is required, as is the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
