Job Purpose
The Assistant(e) au pointage will be responsible for accurately tracking the receipt and dispatch of goods within WFP warehouses in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This role is crucial for maintaining precise inventory levels and ensuring efficient warehouse management. Key responsibilities include meticulously recording all incoming and outgoing merchandise, identifying and reporting any discrepancies, and assisting with physical inventory counts. The position also involves ensuring proper storage of goods and contributing to the upkeep of warehouse standards. By performing these duties diligently, the Assistant(e) au pointage will directly support the integrity and efficiency of WFP's supply chain operations, ensuring that vital resources reach those in need effectively.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve meticulous tracking of goods received and dispatched, including internal milling operations, and promptly identifying and reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor. This role is crucial for enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse inventory management. A key duty is ensuring the proper storage of merchandise and assisting with regular physical inventory counts, adhering strictly to established guidelines and internal control procedures. The position also requires the accurate preparation and timely distribution of stock-taking reports to relevant stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and rapid accounting of all incoming and outgoing warehouse movements. Furthermore, the role includes overseeing the cleanliness of the warehouse post-loading, unloading, and stock replenishment activities, ensuring compliance with World Food Programme (WFP) standards.
Work Experience
Requires two years of experience in conducting simple logistics activities, specifically related to inventory tracking and management.
