Job Purpose

The Tech Team Intern will provide crucial operational and technical support to the Individual Giving (IG) Tech Team within WFP's Private Sector Partnerships & Fundraising Division. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience at the intersection of technology, fundraising operations, and data management in an international humanitarian context. The intern will contribute to daily operations, system testing, data validation, and process improvement across various platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Asana. Key responsibilities include coordinating activities, supporting data integrity, assisting with platform testing, and enhancing documentation, ultimately contributing to the growth of WFP's individual giving fundraising strategy.

Responsibilities

The Tech Team Intern will provide crucial operational and technical support to the Individual Giving (IG) Tech Team within the Private Partnerships & Fundraising Division. This role involves a blend of operational coordination, reporting assistance, and hands-on involvement with various platforms. Key responsibilities include supporting recurring operational processes, tracking tasks, and coordinating activities across teams to ensure timely execution. The intern will also assist with data validation, uploads, and basic system checks across platforms like Salesforce, SharePoint, Asana, and Microsoft 365. A significant part of the role involves participating in testing activities for platform updates and process improvements, documenting any issues found, and validating system outputs. Furthermore, the intern will help maintain reporting trackers, monitor data flows, and support the preparation of operational summaries. They will also contribute to organizing documentation and knowledge-sharing resources, and identify opportunities for workflow improvements. This position offers a practical understanding of tech-enabled fundraising operations, system testing, data integrity, and process improvement in an international humanitarian context.

Work Experience

Previous internship or work experience in operational, administrative, or technical support is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and basic understanding of platforms like Salesforce and Asana are required. Strong organizational, documentation, and attention to detail skills are essential for following processes, maintaining records, and supporting testing and coordination activities in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and collaboration skills are also important.
