Job Purpose
The Fuel Management Associate G6 will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of fuel across all sites within WFP Haiti. The Associate will oversee daily fuel distribution, maintain accurate data and records, ensure compliance with established procedures and safety standards, and manage stock levels and replenishment. A key aspect of this position involves supervising Fuel Agents, providing technical support, conducting field monitoring, and contributing to risk management and informed decision-making through timely and accurate operational information. The goal is to guarantee the continuity of WFP's vital operations in Haiti by maintaining efficient and compliant fuel management systems.
Responsibilities
The Fuel Operations Associate (G6) is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of fuel operations across all sites. This role ensures data accuracy, proper documentation, equipment functionality, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and efficient inventory and replenishment management. The position also provides reliable and timely operational insights to aid decision-making. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily fuel distribution, stock movements, and record-keeping, ensuring compliance with safety and documentation procedures, and resolving operational issues. The associate collects, compiles, and validates fuel data, maintains organized records, and reports any anomalies. They manage inventory by ensuring accurate records, monitoring consumption, initiating replenishment requests, and coordinating fuel reception with logistics teams, verifying quantities and quality. Furthermore, the role supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of fuel equipment, monitors its functionality, and ensures the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular field visits are conducted to monitor operations, supervise and train Fuel Agents, and support compliance checks, ensuring uniform application of operational standards across all sites.
Work Experience
The role requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, fuel operations, warehouse management, inventory control, or operational support functions. Experience in field operations and multi-site coordination is highly desirable. Prior experience in supervision or managing operational staff is a plus.
