Job Purpose

The Aviation Assistant (Airport Operations) will provide essential technical and administrative support to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of air services for humanitarian aid operations. This role involves coordinating flight operations, liaising with airport authorities and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with WFP standards and risk management procedures. The incumbent will verify passenger and cargo manifests, process post-flight documentation, and contribute to evaluating air carrier performance. They will also assist in negotiating local service contracts, analyzing operational data for reporting, and maintaining accurate databases. Responsibilities

The Aviation Assistant (Airport Operations) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of air services to the humanitarian aid community. Work Experience

Requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in flight operations from non-controlled airfields, flight plan interpretation, refueling planning and fuel management, and air cargo operations including sorting procedures.
